Kimono Care

Our kimonos are made from silk rayon burnout velvet fabric. They are made to be worn, and worn well at that! Don't be sad if you catch your kimono on something or the fringe gets a little tangled over time. Follow these simple instructions for the life of your kimono and she will get to come along to many festivals and other fun events with you!

Don't wash!

Please please please! Don't put your kimono through a washing machine. They are dry clean ONLY if you really feel the need to have it cleaned.

Don't Iron!

We personally steam all of our kimonos before sending them out, but sometimes they can get crinkled in the post. When you receive your package hang your kimono up on a soft hanger in your wardrobe and the fringe will drop and un-crinkle in a few days or so.
